Jungle Bohemian in Savannah, Georgia

My husband picked up this darling egg chair toddler sized, which is perfect for my little one. She's 2.5 years old and a ginger! They do have souls, I swear. Well, at least I hope so for teenage years. She loves having her own spot to sit where only she can fit, or Buddy, our small "Dorkie" dog (Dachshund and Yorkie) likes to hang out. Of course it inspired a photoshoot so I went to the local thrift store and picked up some extra props. Spring cleaning meant so many great items at the store, so I picked up the hydrangeas, an adorable terrarium, and I used the coconut drink holder we NEEDED from Tybee Island's Crab Shack, one of our favorite places to eat. It came with some kind of tropical island drink. The Spanish moss is only featured in a couple of the images in just the top o, but it's one of my favorite parts of Savannah.

Savannah, Georgia

As a California native I never realized how tropical Georgia's coast truly is. So many fun local plants and animals around. We go to sleep listening to owls having intimate conversations, cicadas, and the frogs belting out their nighttime songs. The temperate is getting warmer and the storms are getting heavier. Sometimes the thunder shakes the house for hours at a time and we watch the lightning flash outside the window. It's amazing how loud one tiny frog can be. We found a huge turtle and fish in my friends pool! Not to mention last time I was in Georgia we found a poisonous snake.
